Bible Study & Prayer
All are welcome to join us each Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM for a time of in-depth Bible study, discussion, and prayer. The first half-hour is a Bible study and discussion led by Pastor Matt, and the second half-hour consists of sharing prayer requests and taking time to pray together for the needs of our church, our community, our nation, and our world.
Do you love to sing praises to the Lord? Another great way to get involved is with our choir. The choir practices on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM and sings regularly with our praise team and also leads a special during our morning worship service. During the Easter and Christmas season our choir also presents a cantata. The music for the cantata ranges from old gospel favorites to new
beloved songs of praise.
At 12:30 PM each Tuesday, Sally Doten leads a group for a fun and refreshing time of fellowship and gentle aerobic exercise while while seated. For more information please contact Sally.
Knitwits Knitting Group &
Prayer Shawl Ministry
If you’re someone who likes to knit/crochet, consider getting involved in our knitting group/prayer shawl ministry. The Knitwits meet in the church fellowship hall each Tuesday at 10 AM.
Contact Marlene Bryant (454-7465) for more information.
The church organizes an informal group of members who, along with the pastor, are kept notified of visitation needs and prayer concerns. If you know of someone who is in a shut-in or is in the hospital and could use an encouraging visit, please let Pastor Matt know. If you would like to join the visitation team and participate by visiting the elderly and the hospitalized, sending a card, or giving an encouraging phone call, please call the church office for more information.
A small group of church members serve on the prayer chain, which is an immediate way to get prayers offered in a difficult situation or crisis. Please call Pastor Matt to start a prayer request on the chain; or if he is unavailable, contact Sharon Waycott. If you would like to join the prayer chain, please contact the church office.
